Cedella Marley for Puma
Jamaican Olympic Kit + Puma Yard, 2013
Assisted in the collaboration of the Jamaican Team uniforms for the London 2012 Olympic Games designed by fashion designer Cedella Marley, daughter of Reggae icon the late Bob Marley and PUMA. Worked with innovision to concept and produce PUMA YARD, which transplanted a corner of Jamaica to the city’s East End. The “Yard” was an almost 500,000-square foot Jamaican-themed social club and outdoor space located in The Boiler House, East London.

For the duration of the Olympics, until their close in August 12, members of the public were able to visit the club to partake in Jamaican cuisine served from Kingston-inspired food stalls as well as activities such as foosball and ping-pong and to watch the games live on giant screens. The space hosted musicians, DJs and live performances, with artists including Groove Armada, Gyptian and Professor Green. A retail space within Puma Yard was developed to carry products such as Usain Bolt-inspired sneakers and the ready-to-wear collection for Olympic fans. The designs were worn by the entire team (men and women), including three-time Jamaican Olympic gold medallist, fastest man in the world and PUMA athlete Usain Bolt.
